Job summary

The Plumbing Coordinator at University of New England (AU) oversees the development, planning, implementation and upkeep of plumbing infrastructure across UNE buildings. You will coordinate and supervise the plumbing team, external providers and in-house resources to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Key duties include developing maintenance schedules, managing contractor performance, and maintaining accurate records to support asset management.

Qualifications

• Current Plumbing Certificate (Certificate III in Plumbing) or equivalent, with a current plumbing licence.
• Experience coordinating and supervising trade teams, including work scheduling and mentoring staff.
• Proven ability to coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with internal teams, managers and contractors.
• Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (e.g. Archibus) and standard office software; maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, planning, implementation and maintenance of plumbing infrastructure in University buildings.
• Supervise the plumbing team, contracted providers and in-house resources.
• Manage maintenance schedules and contractor performance; ensure statutory compliance.
