Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hands to join the Eva Copper Mine Project team in North West Queensland. You will lead a mobile maintenance crew, ensure safe and efficient production across our fleet, and work within a high-performing maintenance team on site at Eva Copper.

Roster: 2:2, Permanent full-time. Competitive remuneration and opportunities for training, with DIDO/BIBO options from regional hubs. Applicants relocating to North West Queensland are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
Current G1, G8, G9 (S1/2/3) & RIIRIS402EG2.
Mining experience with exposure to leading mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong health and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors’ and Superintendents’ directives.
Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors’ duties in their absence.
Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed.
Source technical information from manuals and bulletins.
Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
Source and requisition parts through correct ordering procedures.
Verify solution implementations and address non-conformities.
