Mills Recruitment is assisting a client in Western Australia to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead bulk materials handling systems and support mineral processing plants on major resources projects across study, design and execution phases.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, full Australian working rights, and offers a 12-month contract with ASAP start in the Perth CBD, with a competitive market rate plus super.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience on resources and mining projects.
• Experience on resource development projects.
• Strong engineering experience with bulk materials handling equipment and systems in mining environments.
• The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team, including managing designers.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical engineering on bulk materials handling systems and equipment
• Contributing to the design of mineral processing plants and associated mine infrastructure
• Supporting projects across study, detailed design and execution phases
• Directing and checking the work of mechanical designers and drafters
• Working within a multidisciplinary team to integrate mechanical design with other disciplines
• Providing technical input to project deliverables, from concept through to construction support
