Job summary

Parkes Christian School is seeking a motivated K-12 Learning Support Coordinator to lead the learning support team and collaborate with staff, students, parents and external agencies. The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and experience with NCCD, Naplan provisions, inclusive education, and Multilit programs.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing learning support programs.
• Experience with Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
• Ability to liaise between parents, students, teachers and external agencies.
• Strong administrative and deadline-driven skills.
• Excellent communication with staff, students and families.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs including ASD.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead a support team.
• Commitment to professional learning and pedagogy development.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Principal to foster a positive atmosphere and culture.
• Lead the daily operation of the school relevant to support staff.
• Organise and conduct staff meetings for the Learning Support team.
• Liaise with leadership on timetabling and allocation of support staff.
• Support spiritual development and mentoring of support staff.
• Collaborate with staff, students and parents to monitor academic progress and attendance.
• Develop and update Individualised Education Plans.
• Foster relationships with parents and caregivers as partners in learning.
• Manage incidents, parent complaints and other issues as directed by Principal.
• Organise and deliver staff devotions as required.
• Oversee enrolment of new students with additional needs, including interviews.
• Uphold the Christian ethos of Parkes Christian School.
