Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary interventional expertise to help establish a new interventional cardiology service and contribute to regional cardiac care development.

You will deliver general and interventional cardiology across the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, lead clinical governance, teaching and service development, and participate in a regional hub strategy.

Qualifications

• Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary interventional experience including PCI and primary PCI.
• Willingness to contribute beyond procedural work and help establish a new service.
• Strong general cardiology capabilities and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver General and Interventional Cardiology across CCCU, Ward and Lab.
• Help establish Rockhampton Hospital’s interventional service.
• Shape models of care, clinical pathways and future development of interventional capability.
• Contribute to governance, teaching and professional development.
• Work with regional teams to develop the cardiac hub for Central Queensland.
