Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service invites a Specialist Cardiologist to join its expanding cardiac team in Central Queensland. The role focuses on interventional cardiology and PCI, across the CCU, ward, outpatient clinics and Cath Lab, assisting in establishing a new interventional service.

We seek a leader who can shape care pathways, participate in governance and education, and contribute to regional growth of specialist cardiac care, with opportunities for teaching and research.

Qualifications

• Specialist cardiology expertise with interventional capability.
• Experience in PCI and primary PCI services preferred.
• Ability to contribute to regional development of cardiac services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver General and Interventional Cardiology across the CCU, Cardiology Ward and Cath Lab.
• Help establish Rockhampton Hospital's Interventional Cardiology service.
• Shape Models of Care, clinical pathways and future development of interventional capability.
