Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital And Health Service in Rockhampton is seeking a Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary interventional cardiology experience to lead and grow our new interventional program. You will deliver PCI and general cardiology across the CCU, ward, clinics and cath lab.

Join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to models of care, clinical pathways, and teaching as Rockhampton evolves into a regional cardiac centre offering expanded services for the region.

Qualifications

• Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary interventional cardiology experience including PCI.
• Strong general cardiology capability and willingness to develop new regional services.
• Willingness to contribute to service development and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver General and Interventional Cardiology across CCU, Cardiology Ward, outpatient clinics and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.
• Help establish Rockhampton Hospital's new Interventional Cardiology service.
• Contribute to clinical pathways and future interventional capability across the region.
• Participate in teaching, supervision and professional development of registrars and staff.
• Work across a broad regional referral service as Rockhampton Hospital develops as a regional cardiac centre.
