Job summary

Fisher Library, Camperdown invites applications for Lead, Library Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement (Identified). This is a full-time, permanent role based at Fisher Library, Camperdown on Gadigal Country, with a base salary of AU$152,045 plus 17% superannuation.

The role leads the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategic Roadmap and Workforce Plan, driving culturally safe practices and ensuring Indigenous voices influence University priorities.

Qualifications

• Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
• Experience leading initiatives that support culturally safe practices and positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
• Experience providing specialist advice and influencing strategic priorities across complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience leading, developing and supporting teams, including coaching and performance development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities and protocols, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a professional environment.
• Ability to engage respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and communities, applying appropriate cultural protocols.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you'll work across Library and University to drive strategic initiatives and strengthen relationships across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and communities.
• Coordinate implementation of the Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategies, plans and priorities.
• Provide expert advice to strengthen cultural capability and culturally safe workplaces across the Library.
• Lead reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement activities to support strategic outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and communities.
