University of Sydney invites applications for an Indigenous Identified Role within the University Library. This leadership post shapes the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategic Roadmap and Workforce Plan, collaborating with senior leaders to drive meaningful change.

The role champions culturally safe practices, strengthens cultural capability and fosters a thriving Indigenous staff community across the Library, with a focus on informed decision‑making across the University.

Formación

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and able to meet role requirements.
• Experience leading initiatives that support culturally safe practices.
• Experience providing specialist advice and influencing priorities across complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience leading and developing teams, including coaching and performance development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities and protocols, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a professional environment.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Library leaders, the Gadigal Centre, DVC Indigenous Strategy and Services and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate the implementation of the Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategies, plans and priorities.
• Provide expert advice to strengthen cultural capability and culturally safe workplaces across the Library.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and communities.
• Foster an engaged and connected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff community across the Library.
• Lead reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement activities to support strategic outcomes.
