Job summary

University of Sydney is seeking a leader to shape and implement the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategic Roadmap within the University Library. You will work across divisions, partnering with senior leaders to deliver coordinated strategies that advance Indigenous outcomes and workforce planning.

You will champion culturally safe practices, strengthen cultural capability, and grow an Indigenous staff community while guiding senior stakeholders across the university in decision making.

Qualifications

• This role requires identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Experience leading initiatives that support culturally safe practices.
• Ability to influence strategic priorities across complex stakeholders.
• Experience building and supporting teams including coaching and development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and protocols.
• Ability to engage respectfully with staff, students and communities.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives across the Library in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
• Coordinate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategies, plans, and priorities.
• Provide expert advice to strengthen cultural capability and safe workplaces.
• Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous staff, students and communities.
• Foster an engaged Indigenous staff community within the Library.
• Lead reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement for outcomes.
