Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a senior leader to shape and coordinate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander initiatives across the Library. You will provide strategic leadership, drive the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategic Roadmap and Workforce Plan, and partner with senior University leaders to reflect Indigenous voices in decision-making.

You will champion culturally safe practices, strengthen cultural capability and grow an inclusive staff community within the Library.

Qualifications

• Experience leading culturally safe initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
• Ability to influence strategic priorities across complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience leading, developing and coaching teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of the Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategies and plans.
• Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver roadmaps and workforce plans.
• Provide expert advice to strengthen cultural capability and culturally safe workplaces.
• Build relationships with Indigenous staff, students and communities.
• Oversee reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement for strategic outcomes.
