Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Lead Field Technician for our Victoria operations in Melbourne. You will provide customer and technical support for CCTV, access control, and IP/cloud-based systems, while installing and commissioning complex setups.

You will respond to service calls, perform maintenance, and generate detailed service reports to support invoicing and cost tracking. On-call duties and collaboration with our remote IT team are part of the role.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years’ experience as Service technician with industry/trade qualifications.
Experience with various Gallagher, Genetec, Integriti, Milestone and Avignon EACS systems.
Willingness to work on an On-Call Roster.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
A valid Victoria Security License.
Construction Induction White Card.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Provide customer and technical support for installed security CCTV, access control, and IP/cloud-based products.
Service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, programmed maintenance and customer support programs.
Install and commission on complex systems as needed.
Produce accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint to enable invoicing and job costing.
Rostered after-hours emergent service calls.
Coordinate with remote IT team for on-site support.
