Cooper Machinery Services is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician - EST to guide emissions reduction projects on reciprocating compression equipment. You will lead field crews from planning through execution, mentor technicians in the field, and build strong customer relationships while delivering safe, reliable installations.

You should have 10+ years of hands-on experience, electrical and controls skills, and willingness to travel 200–300 days a year across North America.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with reciprocating engines and compression equipment in oil and gas.
• Hands-on electrical and controls experience for emissions reduction upgrades.
• Led field crews with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Willing to travel 200–300 days annually across North America.
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on emissions reduction and mechanical upgrade projects.
• Own installations, commissioning, startups, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repairs.
• Direct removal and replacement of major engine components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and improve equipment reliability.
• Partner with customers, operations, engineering, and project teams.
• Mentor technicians and develop field service talent.
• Represent Cooper as a trusted technical expert.
