Job summary

HOERBIGER Brisbane is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to maintain, repair, and install industrial compressors, gas engines, and rotating equipment. You will join a team that delivers high-quality service and supports customers to improve reliability and performance.

You bring hands-on experience with compressors/engines, strong fault-finding and customer-focused communication. Travel domestically, including remote sites, is part of the role.

Qualifications

• A recognised trade qualification in Fitting and Machining or equivalent discipline.
• Hands-on experience with industrial compressors, gas engines or rotating equipment.
• Sound fault-finding, analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a field service team.
• Clear communication and professional customer engagement.
• Willingness to travel domestically, including occasional remote sites.
• Valid Australian driving license and right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation and commissioning on compressors and engines.
• Support tradespeople and service team across customer jobs, sites and shifts.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure ISO and quality compliance.
• Diagnose equipment issues, perform fault-finding and resolve field problems.
• Maintain accurate service records, data, and reports of work completed.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales and Engineering to deliver solutions.
• Build trusted customer relationships through professional communication.
