Job summary

Uniting in Campbelltown NSW is seeking a experienced Coordinator – Family Support & Creative Parenting Spaces to lead two early intervention programs for families with young children. You will mentor a multidisciplinary team and foster partnerships with local schools, government bodies and community groups to drive meaningful outcomes.

The role focuses on supportive parenting spaces, practical casework and playgroups, with a commitment to culturally safe practices and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience with children, young people and families, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience in early intervention, family support, child protection or community services.
  • Confidence providing clinical supervision, mentoring staff and developing practice capability.
  • Experience building collaborative partnerships across government and community sectors.
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation, mandatory reporting and trauma-informed practice.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practice with Aboriginal, CALD and refugee communities.
  • Current Driver Licence and NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
  • Creating a psychologically safe culture where people feel supported and empowered to grow.
  • Overseeing quality casework, parenting programs, supported playgroups and early intervention services.
  • Building strong partnerships with community organisations, schools, government agencies and local stakeholders.
  • Driving culturally safe, inclusive practice that supports Aboriginal, CALD and refugee families.
  • Supporting innovation through evidence-based early intervention models and continuous improvement.
  • Managing referrals, program performance, reporting requirements and funding outcomes.
  • Working alongside the Early Intervention leadership team to strengthen services across the region.
