Job summary

Journey Early Learning is opening a brand-new 98-place centre in Parap and is seeking experienced Diploma-qualified Lead Educators to join the founding team. You will lead a room, mentor a team, and shape the centre culture from day one.

With opportunities across all rooms and age groups, you’ll build meaningful connections with children and families, implement EYLF-aligned play-based learning, and collaborate with the leadership team to create high-quality learning environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification required (ACECQA recognised).
• Experience as Lead Educator is essential.
• Knowledge of EYLF and play-based learning desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of educators.
• Create engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with EYLF.
• Establish routines, environments and team culture for your room.

About the Role

As a Lead Educator, you’ll:

• Lead, mentor and support a team of educators
• Create engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Help establish your room’s routines, environments and team culture
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Support children’s individual learning, development and wellbeing
• Guide observations, planning and Storypark documentation
• Work closely with the Centre Leadership Team
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

About You

You’re an experienced Lead Educator who is confident leading a room, supporting your team and creating high-quality learning environments.

You’ll bring:

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Previous experience as a Lead Educator
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and play-based learning
• Confidence mentoring and supporting educators
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A collaborative and positive leadership style
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Completed National Child Safety Training
