Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a Lead Educator for St Augustine’s Long Day Care + Kindergarten, Augustine Heights. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday from 6:15am to 6:00pm, at a 75-place service dedicated to a calm, nurturing learning environment where children explore and grow.

You will lead an inclusive program, support families, collaborate with a supportive team and engage in ongoing development to foster children's wellbeing and sense of belonging.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services/Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines).
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
• Current Child Safety/Protection training is required
• Knowledge of NQF, National Law/Regulations, EYLF, QLD Kindergarten Guidelines
• Experience in the education and care of children
• Effective oral and written communication in the workplace

Join a warm and welcoming early learning community in the heart of Augustine Heights. St Augustine’s Long Day Care + Kindergarten is a 75-place service offering a calm, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and grow. With spacious outdoor areas and a large backyard, our centre embraces nature-based learning and meaningful play experiences.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator (Group Leader) who is committed to creating engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning environments. Working alongside a supportive team, you will play a key role in fostering children's development, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Children’s Services/Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines) or working towards qualification
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
• Current Child Safety/Protection training is required for this role.
• Position may require being the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Director
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law/Regulations.
• Conversant with Early Years Learning Framework & the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
• Experience in the education and care of children
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
