Job summary

REMONDIS Australia Pty Ltd in Jandakot, WA is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to supervise and coordinate fleet preventative maintenance, repairs and workshop resources to meet targets. You’ll manage rosters, direct workshop performance, and conduct pre-starts to ensure safety and quality, with hands-on problem solving and coordinating with internal/external clients to deliver efficient service.

HR driver licence required; strong safety focus; permanent full-time role with Monday–Friday day

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with heavy vehicle experience.
• Experience supervising mechanical teams in workshop/fleet.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of safety, maintenance and workshop practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan and coordinate fleet preventative maintenance, repairs and workshop resources to meet time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets.
• Manage rosters and resource allocation and provide direction and feedback on workshop performance.
• Conduct shifts pre-starts covering safety, daily work schedules and other relevant business.
• Assist with complex mechanical and hydraulic problem-solving.
• Coordinate mechanical services with internal and external clients to ensure efficient delivery.
• Coordinate breakdown repairs and recovery as required.
