Job summary

REMONDIS Australia Pty Ltd in St Marys NSW is seeking a permanent full-time Diesel Mechanic. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, service trucks and plant equipment, and respond to on-site breakdowns while working a Monday–Friday roster from 10:30am with penalty rates up to 17.5%.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with heavy vehicle experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing trucks, forklifts and plant equipment.
• HR driver's license is required.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, etc
• Work across our trucks and plant equipment such as Front, Rear & Hook Lift, and Tankers
• Performing regular servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance
• Responding to breakdowns on-site
• Testing engine performance, rebuilding engines and repairing parts when required
• Using specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve problems
