Job summary

Macquarie Group in Sydney is seeking a leader to head the Solution Design team responsible for shaping data governance across Collibra and related platforms. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and engineers to translate requirements into delivery-ready designs and establish direction, standards, and priorities for the team during handover to implementation.

The role demands strong leadership, deep data governance knowledge, and experience guiding workshops to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience leading solution design initiatives for enterprise data governance platforms and translating business needs into practical solution designs.
• Strong knowledge of data governance platforms, application interfaces, integration approaches, workflow capabilities and automation concepts.
• Experience working with enterprise data environments, including data warehouses, data lakes, reporting platforms and data integration tools.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams and facilitate business workshops.
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience, with certifications in Collibra or similar data governance platforms viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solution Design team responsible for shaping data governance solutions across Collibra and related platforms.
• Work with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to understand requirements, lead discovery and proof-of-concept activities, and prepare clear, delivery-ready designs for implementation.
• Set the direction, standards and priorities for the team while supporting high-quality outcomes across solution design and engineering handover.
