Job summary

Correlate Resources Pty in Sydney seeks a Senior Data Governance Specialist to operationalise and embed governance frameworks across a large finance data landscape. You will govern metadata, enable data quality controls and drive adoption with data owners and stewards.

This long-term contract role offers hybrid in-office engagement across 4–5 days/week, with a strong emphasis on practical processes and governance capability development within data domains and data products.

Senior Data Governance Specialist Contract
Sydney | 4 to 5 days per week(with 3 days in office)| Long-term contract
We are partnering with a leading Australian enterprise seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist to support a large-scale Finance Data Governance enablement program.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in operationalising and embedding established data governance frameworks across a complex enterprise environment, helping build governance capability across data domains and data products.
The Role Working closely with the broader Data Management function and existing Data Steward, you will focus on implementing practical data governance processes, improving metadata management and enabling data quality controls.
Key responsibilities include:

• Operationalise and embed existing data governance frameworks and processes.
• Establish and support Data Governance guilds and stakeholder forums.
• Populate and maintain business metadata for key data assets using Collibra.
• Ensure relevant technical metadata is captured and maintained.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate governance requirements into practical business processes.

Highly regarded:

• Experience with Ataccama or similar data quality tools.
• Previous experience supporting Finance data domains.
• Experience establishing governance guilds or communities of practice.
• Exposure to data product governance and enterprise data management programs.
