Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking an analytical engineering lead for the People and Engagement Technology stream. You will guide a small team in Australia and India, and act as the subject matter expert for data engineering while staying hands-on in designing and delivering data products.

You will own the shared data platform, collaborate with product, engineering, analytics and governance, and turn business problems into well‑defined data products for scalable insight generation.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in SQL, dbt and AWS services, including Redshift, S3 and Glue.
• Extensive experience architecting and delivering highly scalable, production‑grade analytical data products, setting and enforcing rigorous engineering standards.
• Proven ownership of end‑to‑end analytics platforms, designing for resilience, performance optimisation and cost efficiency in cloud‑native environments.
• Strong track record in establishing enterprise‑grade data capabilities, including data quality frameworks, observability, monitoring and automated alerting.
• Ideally, experience leading engineering teams and providing technical guidance and mentorship to support team growth.
