Intrepid Travel is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Melbourne to design, build and evolve our enterprise data platform. You will closely collaborate with data teams, architects and engineers to shape our data ecosystem and support analytics, reporting, insights and AI initiatives.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic business partnering, driving modernization, data ingestion, modelling and transformation capabilities in a hybrid setup from our Melbourne HQ on Collins

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and leading enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Proven success designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, analytics and consumption.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve the enterprise data platform and engineering capability.
• Lead data engineering efforts and partner with stakeholders to drive data strategy.
• Oversight of migration of legacy data systems and establishment of best practices.
