Job summary

Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Canberra seeks an Assistant Director, Data Analytics and Intelligence, to lead data initiatives and deliver trusted insights for regulatory decision-making. You will guide a team of data specialists, translate insights into action, and advance analytics practices across the organisation.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, strategic advisory ability, and experience with Agile delivery.

Qualifications

Strong stakeholder engagement experience with difficult, technical, or sensitive issues.
Excellent research, conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills with quality assurance.
Ability to work independently and with geographically dispersed teams.
Strong data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement of data, analytics and intelligence initiatives.
Provide leadership to a data team and promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
Establish effective internal and external communications to consult stakeholders and disseminate information.
Provide strategic advice to Directors and senior leadership, representing DAI in forums.
Drive adoption of emerging tools and methodologies to enhance data value and regulatory decision-making.
