Job summary

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Director within the Data, Analytics and Intelligence (DAI) Branch to lead data, analytics and intelligence initiatives, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights for stakeholders.

You will provide strategic advice to Directors and senior leadership, lead a team of data specialists, and drive adoption of new tools and methodologies to strengthen regulatory decision-making in a national context.

Qualifications

Experience engaging with stakeholders on difficult, technical, or sensitive issues.
Strong research, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication with quality assurance capability.
Experience working in Agile delivery teams (Product Owner or Technical Lead).

Responsibilities

Lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement of data analytics and intelligence initiatives.
Provide leadership of a team aligning with statutory responsibilities and the organisational policies.
Establish and implement effective communication systems, internal and external to the Commission to ensure stakeholders are consulted.
Provide high-quality, strategic advice to Directors and external stakeholders, including representing DAI at forums.
Drive adoption of emerging tools and methodologies to enhance data-driven decision-making.
