Job summary

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Melbourne seeks an Assistant Director in Data, Analytics and Intelligence (DAI) to lead data, analytics and regulatory insights for safer aged care. Qualifications

• Strong experience engaging with stakeholders on difficult or sensitive issues.
• Excellent research, conceptual thinking, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Outstanding written and oral communication, with quality assurance.
• Flexibility to work independently and with dispersed teams.
• Solid data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills.
• Understanding of data, analytics and intelligence in regulatory contexts.
• Experience leading a data/analytics team, with Agile experience for data roles.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and enterprise data architectures (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement of data, analytics and intelligence initiatives.
• Provide leadership of a data team aligned with statutory responsibilities and organisational policies.
• Establish and implement effective internal and external communication systems.
• Provide strategic advice to Directors and senior leadership, representing DAI externally when required.
• Drive adoption of new tools, technologies and methodologies to enhance data value and regulatory decision-making.
