Job summary

Qantas Group is seeking a Manager Cyber Defence - Endpoint, Identity & Data Protection to lead a subset of our core security platforms from evaluation to live service. You will own end‑to‑end delivery across endpoint, identity, data protection and cloud security, and partner with business and technology teams to ensure robust controls and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work hands‑on in a large, complex environment, influence security strategy, manage stakeholders at all levels, and drive

Qualifications

• At least seven years' experience in cyber security, information security or technology risk.
• Hands‑on experience as a security engineer or in a closely aligned technical role.
• Experience securing cloud and SaaS environments, including AWS, M365, CSPM and CASB controls.
• Proven experience taking security technology from evaluation through deployment and into production.

Responsibilities

• Shape the 1-3 year plan for your platforms, aligning priorities with Cyber strategy and business goals.
• Identify new capability, run evaluation and value proof, deployment and steady state service.
• Own platforms post‑live, including health reporting, policy tuning, coverage and improvements.
• Govern controls, risks, suppliers and service performance to support regulatory and PCI DSS obligations.
• Service the SOC with detections and telemetry and partner with Cyber Assurance for evidence.
