Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Director Cultural Safety Learning - First Nations to lead development and delivery of cultural safety initiatives across a federal agency. The role focuses on strategic learning programs, stakeholder engagement, and embedding safety principles workforce-wide.

The position emphasizes collaboration with First Nations communities and senior leadership to drive transformative learning and capability enhancements in a large government

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with First Nations peoples, communities, and/or organisations.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering workplace learning, training, or capability programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Proven project or program management experience, including planning, delivery, reporting, and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level documentation.
• Ability to provide strategic advice and influence decision-making.
• Experience working in complex government, public sector, or large organisational environments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of cultural safety learning programs.
• Manage workplace capability initiatives that support strategic workforce objectives.
• Coordinate the delivery of both facilitated and self-paced learning programs.
• Engage and collaborate with First Nations communities, organisations, and stakeholders to support culturally safe and effective outcomes.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers, submissions, and other documentation.
• Lead project planning, monitoring, reporting, and risk management activities.
• Represent the Agency at meetings, forums, and stakeholder engagements
