Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment, partnering with a large Federal Government agency, seeks an EL1 Assistant Director - Cultural Safety Learning to lead strategic learning initiatives that strengthen workforce capability and advance First Nations outcomes.

You will drive the design and delivery of cultural safety programs, oversee training delivery, provide high-level advice to senior executives, and build partnerships across government and community groups in a nationally focused role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex learning, capability development or workforce uplift programs.
• Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
• Experience working with, or a strong understanding of, First Nations communities, cultures and engagement approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing high-quality briefs, reports and executive correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of cultural safety learning programs and workforce capability initiatives.
• Oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of facilitated and self-paced training programs.
• Drive organisational and cultural change through the implementation of innovative, strengths-based learning approaches.
• Manage program governance, reporting, risk management and performance monitoring activities.
• Provide high-level strategic advice, briefings and recommendations to senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain productive partnerships across government, community organisations and stakeholder groups.
• Mentor and guide team members while fostering a positive, collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
