Job summary

Elevate Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Pipe Layer / Drainer to join our Penrith team on a variety of stormwater, sewer and water mains projects across Sydney. You will take ownership of jobs, coordinate with excavator operators and help lead a productive crew on site.

The role offers a clear path to a leading hand/foreman position for the right person, with penalties rates and an excellent hourly rate as part of a growing, well-equipped drainage crew.

Qualifications

• Strong civil pipe-laying/drainage experience.
• Ability to read plans, levels and grades.
• Experience installing stormwater, sewer and associated structures.
• Good understanding of trench preparation, bedding, pipe installation and backfill.
• Ability to work efficiently with excavator operators.
• Good attention to quality and production.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Confidence taking responsibility on site.
• Current White Card.
• Relevant tickets/licences highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Pipe laying and drainage installation across stormwater, sewer and water mains projects.
• Reading plans, levels and grades.
• Trench preparation, bedding, pipe installation and backfill.
• Working efficiently with excavator operators.
• Maintaining quality and production standards on site.
• Taking responsibility and confidence on site.
• Leading and supporting crew members.
• Large RCP drainage, precast pits and manholes installation.
• Deep trench work and civil infrastructure projects.
• Bulk and detailed excavation work.
