Job summary

GREAT NORTHERN HOTEL (NSW) PTY LTD, trading as West Kempsey Hotel, is a renowned hospitality venue on the Mid North Coast of NSW. We seek dedicated full-time Chefs to manage daily kitchen operations, oversee lunch and dinner services, and mentor junior staff in a high-volume environment south of Kempsey.

The role requires a Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified cook with Australian recognition.
• 2–3 years of chef experience in high-volume pubs/hotels.
• Proven leadership, communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations for lunch and dinner services.
• Ensure quality, portion control, and timely ticketing during peak times.
• Forecast usage, stocktake monthly, and manage food orders and costs.
• Lead junior kitchen staff and maintain HACCP and WHS compliance.
