Job summary

Kempsey Macleay RSL Club on the Mid North Coast is seeking an experienced and hands-on Chef to support our Head Chef and lead a kitchen team across our restaurant, bistro, café and function operations.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring creativity to menus, and help with stock ordering and food costing. A 4-day week and strong team culture are highlights of this role.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Chef with experience in a similar fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Demonstrate creativity and pride in food presentation and menu development.
• Experience with stock ordering and food costing (advantage)

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and work with kitchen team of up to 10.
• Contribute to menu ideas and daily specials.
• Assist with stock ordering and food costing.
• Hold flexible hours to cover a rotating roster including days, nights and weekends.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Chef with experience in a similar fast-paced environment

• Have the ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Demonstrate creativity and pride in food presentation and menu development

• Have experience with stock ordering and food costing

• Contribute fresh ideas for menus and daily specials

• Be hands-on and team-oriented

• Be flexible to work a rotating roster including days, nights and weekends

• Hold valid working rights in Australia
