Job summary

Core4 is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead on commercial construction, fit-out and refurbishment projects. This hands-on role requires a qualified carpenter who can manage a small team, coordinate on-site works and take ownership to get jobs done.

Projects span commercial, hospitality, retail and property environments, offering variety and opportunities to work across sites. Travel between sites may be required depending on project requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry completed and current.
• Extensive carpentry experience in commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment.
• Experience leading or supervising other trades or labourers.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Plan ahead, problem-solve and work independently.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Solid knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

Core4 is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing team and take the lead on a variety of commercial construction, fit-out and refurbishment works. This is a hands‑on role suited to a qualified carpenter who enjoys being on the tools but is also confident leading a small team, coordinating works on site and taking ownership of getting the job done. Projects span commercial, hospitality, retail and property environments, meaning there is plenty of variety. Some short periods of interstate travel may be required depending on project requirements.

• Carrying out commercial carpentry, fit-out and refurbishment works

• Coordinating day‑to‑day site activities and keeping works progressing
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Reading and interpreting plans and drawings

About you

• Certificate III in Carpentry
