Job summary

Valor Residential is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our Sydney team. You will take ownership on site, lead key stages of construction, and deliver architecturally designed homes to a high standard.

Responsibilities include mentoring apprentices, coordinating with trades and suppliers, and ensuring quality workmanship throughout framing, cladding, and finishes. A strong eye for detail and independent work ethic are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry is required or implied.
• Minimum 5+ years of residential construction experience.
• Proven experience leading or managing carpentry works on site.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in high-end or architectural builds is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and play a key role in delivering architecturally designed residential projects to a high standard.

About the Role

This position is suited to a carpenter who takes ownership on site and is confident leading key stages of construction.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading carpentry works across framing, fix-out, cladding, and detailed finishes
• Managing and mentoring apprentices and labourers
• Maintaining high-quality workmanship across all stages
• Coordinating with supervisors, trades, and suppliers
• Ensuring works are completed efficiently and to program
• Identifying and resolving on-site issues

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry
• Minimum 5+ years residential construction experience
