Job summary

Talent Insights Group is seeking a Lead BI Developer for the People Insights team in Australia. This hands-on leadership role will own the Power BI, SQL Server and Power Query environment, setting reporting standards and guiding a small team of analysts.

You will collaborate with People & Culture and Centres of Expertise to define requirements, transform data into trusted metrics, and deliver workforce reporting across hiring, retention, remuneration, diversity, and planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering BI, reporting or data integration solutions.
• Strong communication skills with senior, non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience handling confidential employee data with governance and privacy controls.
• Experience with HR analytics or workforce data.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring to analysts.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Power BI reporting across hiring, retention, remuneration, diversity and workforce planning.
• Define and document people metrics to ensure consistent, trusted reporting.
• Manage the SQL Server environment, including data models, views, stored procedures and data quality checks.
• Build Power Query transformations integrating data from HRIS, payroll and other people data sources.
• Partner with People & Culture to define requirements and communicate insights clearly.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and quality assurance to the team.
