Job summary

Insight Timer is seeking a Senior or Lead Analytics Engineer to turn product questions into experiments, data models and insights that drive longevity and lifetime value for users. You’ll own experiments, data models and metrics with a strong software engineering mindset.

You will lead by example, mentoring other analytics engineers and helping the team move toward self-serve analytics while balancing speed and rigour in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning analytics engineering work end-to-end.
• For Lead level, mentoring or leading others.
• Strong SQL in a modern cloud warehouse (BigQuery).
• Experience with large, event-based datasets with varied schemas.
• Background in maths, statistics, or STEM is a plus.
• Experience with Python and semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret A/B tests and translate results into product recommendations.
• Deliver analytics by turning questions into clear, actionable insights.
• Oversee data ingestion, modelling and metrics with clean, well-tested datasets.
• Build self-serve analytics tools, semantic layers, and agents for scale.
• Conduct product and revenue analytics to understand user behaviour and lifecycle.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership to the analytics team.
• Communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
