Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead AI Architect to own and modernize agentic solution architecture for Oceania, aligning with global Tax and Client Technology strategies. You will drive architecture decisions across AI, data, security, and enterprise platforms, partnering with engineering and regional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions for EY's large clients.

This role requires expertise in Azure, OpenAI, retrieval-augmented generation, and secure, observable architectures, with leadership

Qualifications

• Experience in Azure cloud architecture across application, integration, identity, networking, security and production operations.
• Experience with Generative AI and agentic patterns including orchestration, tool calling, skills and workflows.
• Ability to define AI governance, prompt engineering, grounding controls, and observability for enterprise AI solutions.
• Proven track record delivering secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AI-enabled architectures for large organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution and technical architecture for major Oceania agentic initiatives, ensuring pragmatic, scalable designs.
• Define target-state architecture for agentic capabilities and integration with data and knowledge platforms.
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance during design, build, and production readiness activities.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and regional teams to create architecture blueprints and guardrails.
• Mentor technical leads and communicate complex AI/architecture decisions to diverse stakeholders.
