Benetas is a not-for-profit organisation delivering aged care across Victoria. We are seeking an experienced Laundry Assistant for our Eaglehawk home, supporting residents with clean, well-presented laundry and adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people in a comparable setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am–14:30pm permanent position.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment following washing instructions.
• Comply with Occupational Health & Safety requirements relevant to the position.
• Tailor laundry services to meet individual resident needs.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of laundry.

The Role

We are looking for experienced Laundry Assistant for our Eaglehawk home, in California Gully, home to 67 residents.

• Monday to Friday 8:00am -14:30pm permanent position
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laundry equipment, washing instructions and cleaning methods
• Demonstrate awareness of legislative requirements relevant to the position including Occupational Health & Safety
• Be responsive to the needs of residents by tailoring services to meet individual needs
• Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous experience working with older people in a comparable setting (desirable)
• Demonstrated positive, courteous and client-focused behaviour
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
