Job summary

Benetas is seeking an experienced Laundry Assistant for our Eaglehawk home in California Gully, Victoria. This permanent full-time role supports 67 residents with laundry and related duties, focusing on cleanliness and resident-centred care.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with older people, demonstrate infection control awareness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with older people in a comparable setting (desirable)
• Demonstrated positive, courteous and client-focused behaviour
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laundry equipment, washing instructions and cleaning methods
• Demonstrate awareness of legislative requirements relevant to the position including Occupational Health & Safety
• Be responsive to the needs of residents by tailoring services to meet individual needs
• Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

The Role

We are looking for experienced Laundry Assistant for our Eaglehawk home, in California Gully, home to 67 residents.

• Monday to Friday 8:00am -14:30pm permanent position
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laundry equipment, washing instructions and cleaning methods
• Demonstrate awareness of legislative requirements relevant to the position including Occupational Health & Safety
• Be responsive to the needs of residents by tailoring services to meet individual needs
• Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:
