Job summary

The Bethanie Group is seeking a part-time Laundry Assistant for Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home in Port Kennedy. You will ensure linen is laundered correctly and that infection-control practices are observed, enabling a clean, safe environment for residents.

You will load and unload washers and dryers, sort by temperature and fabric, and report any damage or wear requiring repairs. There is also scope to help in other hospitality areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Laundry Assistant preferred, especially in aged care, hospital, or similar environments.
• Can-do attitude with genuine compassion for residents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and infection-control practices.
• NDIS worker screening clearance or willingness to apply; vaccination readiness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure laundry and linen are laundered correctly and infection-control practices are followed.
• Sort and wash linen by temperature, colour, level of soiling, and fabric type.
• Load and unload washing machines and tumble dryers.
• Sort and fold clean, dry linen and report damage or wear for repairs.
• Opportunity to work in other hospitality areas such as Domestic Cleaning or Kitchen hand.

We are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant to fill a vacantposition within the team providing support services atBethanie Waters Aged Care Home located in PortKennedy.

This role is offered on PartTime basis.

About the role:

• Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly, andinfection control practices are adhered to
• Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour,degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
• Loading and unloading washing machines and tumbledryers
• Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
• Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs orreplacement

You will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of ourhospitality team including Domestic Cleaning or Kitchen Hand.

About you

• Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as aLaundry Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similarenvironment
• You bring a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion forour residents
• Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam
• Knowledge of appropriate chemical usage relating to laundryprocesses
• NDIS worker screening clearance or willingness to apply forone
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
