Job summary

Uniting Nambucca Heads is seeking a dedicated PPT Laundry Assistant to support residents by handling clothing and linen with care. The role covers laundry services across the home, ensuring items are returned properly and maintained to high standards.

This permanent part-time position offers shifts from 6:30am to 2:30pm, 48 hours per fortnight, with occasional short-notice coverage. Training is provided, and you’ll work within a compassionate, values-driven team.

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory).
• Experience in community care or aged care is a bonus.

About Uniting Pacifica, Nambucca Heads:

Uniting Pacifica Nambucca Heads is set across four storeys, each with resident bedrooms and communal spaces, including lounges, dining rooms, and kitchenettes. On the ground floor, there’s a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Leisure and Wellness Team ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

Role Overview:

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a comfortable, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents. Working across Laundry services, you’ll support the cleaning, handling and distribution of residents’ clothing, linen and other items ensuring everything is cared for and returned appropriately. This resident-focused role helps promote dignity, comfort, independence and wellbeing while delivering high-quality laundry services across the home.

This is a permanent part-time position working 48 hours per fortnight, with shifts from 6:30am-2:30pm. Some flexibility is required to provide additional leave coverage when needed, including occasional shifts at short notice.

Week 1: Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Week 2: Monday, Thursday & Friday

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory)
• Previous experience in community care or aged care is a bonus
