Job summary

Medical & Aged Care Group invites applications for a Laundry Assistant on a permanent part-time basis at our residential aged care home in the Melbourne area.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute resident laundry, ensuring timely delivery and high hygiene standards while collaborating with housekeeping and care teams to support resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, cleaning, or aged care experience (Highly Regarded).
• Current Police Check required.
• Working rights in Australia required.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

As an Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring laundry services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident laundry and linen
• Ensuring all laundry is handled with care and returned promptly
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area
• Following infection control, hygiene, and safety procedures
• Working collaboratively with housekeeping and care teams

You are reliable, organised, and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

To be successful in this role you will have:
