You will supervise crews, manage plans and timelines, liaise with clients, and uphold health and safety standards with strong South Australian plant and turf knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in landscaping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience in landscape construction, planting and hardscaping techniques.
• Knowledge of plants, shrubs, turf for South Australian conditions.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and client relationship abilities.
• Solid health and safety understanding within landscaping.
• Valid driver's license.

About the role

Sanders Landscapes Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Landscaper/Landscape Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands‑on leadership position based in Port Noarlunga South, SA, where you will combine practical landscaping expertise with supervisory responsibilities. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality landscape projects whilst managing and mentoring our landscaping teams. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate landscaping teams on various residential and commercial projects
• Plan and organise work schedules, ensuring efficient project delivery and team productivity
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and safety regulations
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively
• Train and mentor team members on best practices, safety procedures and landscaping techniques
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements, provide updates and address concerns
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are well‑maintained and safe to use
• Monitor stock levels and order materials as needed
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in landscaping, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or team leader capacity
• Proven expertise in landscape construction, planting and hardscaping techniques
• Strong knowledge of plants, shrubs, turf and seasonal requirements suitable for South Australian conditions
• Competency in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and machinery safely
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements and best practices in the landscaping industry
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour regularly
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Preferred qualifications: relevant tertiary qualifications in landscape construction or horticulture, or formal supervisory training
