Job summary

Next Level Landscapes in Sydney is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Trade Assistant to join our growing team. You will support lawn care, garden maintenance, irrigation tasks and safety practices while delivering high-quality outdoor spaces for our clients.

Under supervision of team leaders, you will learn on the job, handle basic landscaping tools, and contribute to a safe, organized work site across Western and Southern Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience in Landscape Maintenance is an advantage but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be physically capable of demanding tasks and long periods of standing.
• Basic understanding of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Careful, thorough approach to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge and trim lawns to keep them neat and healthy.
• Weed, prune and maintain flower beds, shrubs and trees.
• Operate landscaping tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers and hedge clippers.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems.
• Identify and report pest or disease issues affecting the landscaping.
• Keep work sites clean and organized by removing debris, leaves and trash.
• Support landscaping projects under team leaders and participate in daily tasks.
• Follow all safety regulations and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Next Level Landscapes is currently seeking dedicated Landscape Maintenance Trade Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal of outdoor spaces for our clients, specifically across Western and Southern Sydney. Your work will directly contribute to the overall beauty and health of the landscapes we care for.

Key Responsibilities

• Lawn Maintenance: Mow, edge and trim lawns regularly to keep them neat and healthy
• Garden Care: Weed, prune and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees
• Equipment Operation: Operate landscaping tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers and hedge clippers
• Irrigation: Assist in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems to ensure proper watering
• Pest & Disease Control: Identify and report any pest or disease issues affecting the landscaping
• Site Cleanliness: Keep work sites clean and organised by removing debris, leaves and trash
• Assist Team: Work under the direction of team leaders to support landscaping projects and daily tasks (team leader rolls also available)
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in Landscape Maintenance is an advantage but not required, on-the-job training will be provided
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods
• Tool Knowledge: Basic understanding of landscaping tools and equipment
• Attention to Detail: Careful and thorough approach to work, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle
