Job summary

Australian Environmental Auditors Pty Ltd (AEA) is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Engineer (Landfill) to join our team. Based in Melbourne with flexible/ hybrid work options, you will audit and advise on landfill projects across Australia, engaging with a national framework and a team of experienced auditors.

You will perform desk-based technical analysis, site visits, and project coordination while contributing to business growth through proposals and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science, or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years landfill experience.
• Experience in auditing/consultancy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Technical auditing & analysis: review reports, verify data, draft technical summaries.
• Site inspections (minor/occasional): conduct visits, capture data and photos for audit files.
• Project coordination: act as central point of contact, manage timelines and budgets.
• Commercial support & growth: support tenders, scoping projects, nurture client relationships.
• Data integrity: manage and organize data sets and ensure documentation meets BMS standards.
