Job summary

Fox Personnel is seeking a reliable HC/HR Driver with asphalt experience to join a busy road construction crew near Bendigo. You will cart asphalt, materials, plant and equipment, then assist with laying, labouring and site setup.

This outdoors role offers 35–50 hours weekly with potential for a full-time position. Requirements include a current HC/HR licence and Construction White Card, plus preferred skid steer/spreader experience and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• HC/HR licence with construction site awareness and safety focus.
• White Card held and valid for construction sites.
• Willingness to operate light plant and assist with asphalt tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive HC vehicles to sites and unload as needed.
• Assist asphalt crew with laying, labouring and road work.
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks and keep records up to date.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards immediately.
• Be flexible with hours including weekends and remote sites; away-from-home allowances apply.

Our client is a well-established asphalt and road construction business , and they're after a reliable HC/HR Driver ideally with asphalt experience to join the crew.

You'll be carting asphalt, materials, plant and equipment to and from sites, then rolling your sleeves up and working alongside the crew - helping with laying, labouring, site set-up and pack-up. It's a varied, outdoors role with the chance to get on the plant and keep building your skills. Immediate start available 35-50 hours a week, potential to become FT role.

What you'll be doing

• Driving HC vehicles to and from work sites, loading and unloading as needed
• Assisting the asphalt crew with laying, labouring and general road construction
• Daily vehicle and equipment checks, pre-starts and keeping records up to date
• Working safely, following site procedures and reporting hazards straight away
• Being flexible with hours - early starts, some weekends and remote sites, allowances paid for away from home and meals etc

What you'll need

• Current HC/HR licence and Construction White Card (essential)
• Skid Steer and Spreader Expereince (preferred)
• Asphalt, road or civil construction experience (preferred)
• A genuine commitment to safety and doing the job right
• A team player who takes direction and gets on with it
• Willingness to pick up extra tickets - Skid Steer, Loader, Roller

Nice to have:

• HR/MC licence
• Workzone Traffic Management certificate
• plant operating experience.
