Job summary

Programmed in Bathurst is seeking a hands-on HC driver and laborer to support road maintenance and asphalt projects across the region. The role involves operating HC vehicles, transporting materials, and assisting the crew with general labouring duties.

You will perform daily vehicle checks and follow safety procedures, with travel across multiple sites and occasional weekend work. The ideal candidate holds a current HC licence and White Card and is flexible to work away from home if required.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position involving both HC driving and general labouring duties, supporting road maintenance and asphalt projects throughout the region.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate HC vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Assist the road/asphalt crew with general labouring duties when required.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and report any vehicle issues.
• Follow all traffic management and workplace safety procedures.
• Travel to different project sites throughout the region.
• Be available for early starts, overtime and occasional weekend work.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current HC Driver Licence.
• Current White Card.
• Previous experience operating heavy vehicles.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability and willingness to complete general labouring duties.
• Reliable, hardworking attitude with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing.
