Barcaldine Regional Council in Central West Queensland is seeking a Labourer to join our maintenance team in Barcaldine. The role involves assisting with pavement repairs, concreting, patching and other labouring tasks to support council assets.
You will work a 76-hour fortnight over 9 days with an RDO, receive five weeks annual leave, 15 days personal leave, and superannuation benefits; regional travel may be required.
Location: This position is based in Barcaldine with regional work and travel as required.
Classification Level: Level 3 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017 and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement 2025.
Wage: Minimum base salary of $71,557.20 per annum + Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances.
Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly.
Hours of Work: 76 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight.
Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading.Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum.

As a Labourer in the maintenance team, you will be primarily responsible for helping carry out asset maintenance tasks such as pavement repairs, concreting, patching and other labouring tasks as required.
