Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a hands-on Labourer to join our Urban Operations team in Rockhampton. You will work on civil construction projects including concreting, kerb and channel installation, drainage works, and road maintenance.

You will join a collaborative crew, operate a range of tools, and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes for the region. A safety-first mindset and willingness to learn new skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in placing machine and hand-poured concrete kerb and channel and/or extensive trade experience in forming, placing, and finishing concrete.

• Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
• $74,957 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 3 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation
• Location – Rockhampton

Help shape and maintain the infrastructure that keeps our community moving.

As a Labourer in our Urban Operations team, you'll work on a variety of civil construction projects including concreting, kerb and channel installation, drainage works, and road maintenance.

No two days are the same as you work alongside a skilled crew, operate a range of tools and equipment, and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes for the region. If you enjoy hands-on outdoor work, take pride in what you build, and value being part of a team, this is the role for you.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

• Industry experience in placing and finishing concrete kerb and channel, or experience in forming, placing and finishing concrete.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn new tasks and develop your skills.
