Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Relocation & Logistics Assistant to support a major relocation from West Ryde to North Ryde. This temporary, full-time role runs through to 31 January 2027, with Monday to Friday hours and a hands-on, practical focus outside of lab testing.

You will assist with unpacking equipment, moving items, coordinating deliveries, and providing general operational support. Training will be provided prior to the relocation.

Qualifications

• No lab experience required.
• Current Driver's Licence (essential).
• Forklift Licence (desirable).
• Previous warehousing/logistics experience preferred but not essential.

• Moving equipment and materials short distances within the laboratory.
• Supporting the relocation team with general warehouse and logistics tasks.
• Receiving and organising deliveries.
• Providing occasional reception support (phones and deliveries).

Laboratory Relocation & Logistics Assistant (No Lab Experience Required)

Working alongside experienced laboratory staff, you will provide practical, hands‑on support to the laboratory team throughout a major laboratory relocation project from West Ryde to North Ryde. This is a temporary assignment running through to 31 January 2027, offering full‑time hours, Monday to Friday. This is not a laboratory testing or scientific role. 2 - 3 weeks training will be provided before the relocation begins.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with unpacking laboratory equipment and supplies
• Moving equipment and materials short distances within the laboratory under instruction
• Supporting the relocation team with general warehouse and logistics tasks
• Receiving and organising deliveries
• Assisting with general operational support wherever required
• Providing occasional reception support, including answering phones and receiving deliveries
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Following all safety procedures and work instructions carefully

About you

• Current Drivers Licence (essential)
• Forklift Licence (desirable)
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, production, or a similar hands‑on environment (preferred but not essential)
• A strong commitment to workplace safety
• The ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently
• A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of team members
• A high level of care when handling equipment and materials
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks

Benefits

• $45-$50 per hour + Super
• Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day (38 hours per week)
• 5 days per week on‑site at West Ryde and North Ryde
• Immediate start (pending reference checks and Police Check)
